2017 sees the ushering in of the fourth major round of Strata Schemes Management reforms in New South Wales. The Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 was commenced on 1 December 2016.
In previous Continuing Professional Development courses, Leverage looked at the amendments contained in the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015. This course is not about providing information regarding the reforms. Every strata manager has been to a plethora of courses or has had a myriad of documents to read in relation to the new amendments. This is not another exercise of reiterating what people already know.
Property Management and Strata naturally includes representing your client at relevant Tribunals – most notably NCAT. Due to a myriad of reasons, agents are often at a notable disadvantage and are often unsuccessful in their attempts to defend their landlord. This CPD course has been introduced with the hope of turning the tables and giving a stronger voice to agents who are called to NCAT. Through analysis of the key elements of NCAT, with reference to the Residential Tenancies Act 2010, helpful checklists to prepare you and a dash of legal expertise to set you apart – this unit prepares any agent to confidently step forward at the dreaded hearing.

Leverage has been dealing with real estate agents for the past 20 years. It has never been as complex as today to negotiate and close contracts. The laws are complex and are a maze that even an experienced solicitor finds difficulty navigating.
